The EU-funded Mayors for Economic Growth (M4EG) programme, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), launches a new Call for Interest to support up to 10 cities with EU financing to foster resilience and local economic growth.

The Call for Interest: Mission-Oriented Portfolios for Local Transformations will award selected cities with EU funding to implement a year-long learning and capacity-building process with UNDP. Selected municipalities will be enabled to co-design and implement Mission-Oriented Portfolios

A total of up to $120,000 of financial support is available through a phased approach:

  • Provision of up to $20,000 as a seed grant for all selected towns/cities to design and develop their mission-oriented portfolio and begin the testing and implementing activities
  • Opportunity to apply for a growth grant of up to $40,000 after the implementation and iteration of the mission-oriented portfolio to further develop the mission-oriented portfolio and further test and scale select activities
  • Opportunity to apply for a scale grant of up to $40,000-60,000 for the pipeline development for scaling

The call is open to all municipalities and local authorities in cities, towns, or rural areas in Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine that are already part of the M4EG Network and have strong vision and commitment for local economic resilience.
