Local authorities from Moldova, members of the Mayors for Economic Growth (M4EG) initiative, funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP, will benefit from grants awarded by the European Union. The call aims to support the crisis immediate response, so as long-term recovery of Moldovan local public authorities, including support to Ukrainian refugees, throughout 2022-2023.
The proposals should cover one of the two aspects:
Local public authorities interested in participating in the call should be part of the M4EG network. To join the network, local public authorities from Moldova should reach out to M4EG Secretariat through this link.

The deadline for submitting applications is 23 December 2022, at 23:59. An information session for potential applicants will be conducted on 12 December, 14:00. Those interested in attending should join by connecting to this link. Questions prior to the information session may be submitted by 8 December 2022, 18:00.
A similar call is being launched for Ukrainian municipalities. Recently, the European Union has announced a top-up of EUR 1.8 million for Crisis Response and Renewal in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. Seventy percent of the grant component will be available to Ukrainian local authorities and 30 percent to local authorities in Moldova.
